SCENE: Jonathan and Leslie, sitting down to a dinner of cheese fondue in a little cabin at Meeman Shelby Forrest State Park. Earlier in the evening, the couple had made it a little less than halfway to the park when Leslie realized that she had left the ingredients for the cheese fondue at the house. They turned around, because what is a little cabin in the woods without some cheese fondue? The habit of forgetting something on a trip, whether a simple errand or an extended vacation, is a regular one for Leslie.
LESLIE: Sorry again that we had to turn around for the cheese. But this sure is worth it!
JONATHAN: No problem... (as he shoves a cheese-laden hunk of bread into his mouth)
LESLIE: (with enthusiasm) Someday, we are going to go on a trip and I am not going to forget one thing. Not one. And we will take a picture. Because that will be a big day.
JONATHAN: (with total seriousness) That will be death. The ultimate trip.
LESLIE: (nearly choking on her bite, she proceeds to laugh for five minutes straight while pondering how much she loves Jonathan's inadvertent sense of humor)

What a fun trip!
That is incredibly funny and sounds like it was a great trip. I've been wanting to go on a lodge/state park trip and your post, as well as some others talking about such trips, are making me want to go even more!
