Aaaaand We're Back.

Well, friends, the whirlwind of holiday festivities has come to an end, and we are finally home sweet home back in Memphis. We had such a relaxing time with both of our families, but it is definitely nice to unpack the suitcases and settle back in to everyday life. Scratch that...it is nice to unpack the suitcases, but everyday life can wait for a few more days (or weeks) as far as I'm concerned. A few highlights of this year's Christmas/New Year Extravaganza...

• The endless effort to keep Weber from eating my parents' cats. We had a few close calls, folks. Poor Weber just can't shut off that hunting instinct!
• Jonathan singing "Welcome to Our World" on Christmas Eve at my parents' church. When he returned to the pew there were tears in his eyes, because pretty soon we'll be welcoming a little boy into our world...crazy.
• Sitting around the table for Christmas Eve dinner, looking out the window at the sleet and rain and saying, "Now if only this stuff would turn into snow!" And then looking out 30 seconds later to see huge, white flakes falling from the sky.
• Enjoying Rolandos, Sweet Bay, and lots of good conversation with dear old friends.
• Not dying when I slid down one of the steeper hills in Fort Smith on ice. I like to keep things exciting, folks. Two key words, ladies: emergency brake!
• Registering for a few goodies at Blessed Baby, an adorable baby store in Fort Smith.
• Reuniting with Genos Pizza-by-the-Slice
• Visiting my in-laws in their new home and it already feeling like home to us as well.
• Watching Weber bound through piles of snow...she loves the stuff!
• Enjoying not one, but TWO White Christmases. We celebrated with Jonathan's family on Tuesday night and Wednsday morning, and got another round of snow for that celebration!
• Finally finding fabric for Baby Boy's nursery, and getting it all at a steal of a deal!
• Getting to catch up with lots of sweet friends and family in Oklahoma City.
• Watching Weber sniff out a little baby for the first time; when the baby moved his little hand, she jumped back about 2 feet. It's alive, people!!! It moves!!! Oh Weber...you are in for a shock, aren't you?
• Being introduced to Orange Tree frozen yogurt. Good gracious, people. Delightful.
• Feeling incredibly thankful for our family and friends...we are blessed.
